Traffic is limited to vessels with an air draft less than 18' (5.5m) at HHWLT.

Although the CHS chart may indicate a clearance of 21 feet, Nova Scotia TIR advises that their records indicate a clearance of 18 feet.

August 2, 2018: TIR issued a Tender Notice for rehabilitation of the bridge, specifying a completion date of 30 June 2019, and with incentives should the span become operational prior to 10 May 2019.
